Burwarton Show a Success
A Shropshire solicitors firm were thrilled yesterday when hundreds of people attended a popular county show, despite miserable weather warnings.
Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors, sponsors of the Burwarton Show, in Cleobury North near Bridgnorth, yesterday welcomed hundreds to their tent, where show-goers could enjoy drinks and nibbles and a refuge from the rain.
The firm were running a prize draw to win a locally produced luxury hamper, provided by the Ludlow Food Centre. Over 200 people entered the competition throughout the day and the prize winner, a lucky person from Hereford, was announced at the end of the show.
As the sun was shining throughout the morning, the Lanyon Bowdler team were outside of the tent giving away their goodies. By the afternoon, the rain had come, but this didn’t spoil the show said David Battisby, Managing Partner of Lanyon Bowdler.
He commented yesterday, “We were very pleased with how the day went. Our tent was busy throughout the day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It’s a unique show to sponsor, as it’s one of the few still attended largely by farmers, an important clientele of ours.”
