Lanyon Bowdler Short-Listed for Birmingham Law Society Awards

It’s double-delight at Lanyon Bowdler, having learnt that both the firm and head of the personal injury team, Neil Lorimer, have been short-listed for awards by the Birmingham Law Society.

In order to be included on the short-lists, both had to demonstrate not only an excellent reputation and service to clients, but a commitment to training and development of staff and colleagues, together with an involvement with charities and the local community.

Speaking on behalf of the partners, David Battisby said “This is a tremendous start to 2010, the short-listings for both awards include some of the top Birmingham and West Midlands firms, and it is great to see us competing with them.”

Event organiser Becky Lynch, from the Birmingham Law Society comments “Since the inaugural event in 2001, the awards have become a permanent fixture on the legal sector calendar, with sell out crowds and record numbers of nominations year on year.  Last year’s event was one of the most successful ever, and 2010 promises to be just as good, if not better.”

The winners will be announced during a dinner, being held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, on 25 March.  Guests will not only enjoy seeing the winners from 10 categories picking up their awards, but will be entertained by guest speaker, Times columnist, Matthew Parris.
