Lanyon Bowdler appointed on Very High Cost Case Panel
Some of the most complex and expensive criminal cases can take up to months to reach court. In order to be able to represent a defendant in matters such as these, a law firm needs to be approved by The Legal Services Commission and appear on their Very High Cost Case Panel.
To ensure best quality and best value for the most expensive criminal legal aid cases the Legal Services Commission sought tenders from firms of solicitors and barristers. Local law firm Lanyon Bowdler has been successful in being appointed on the panel, and is the only firm in Shropshire to have achieved this status.
“To be on the panel means we will be allocated some of the most high profile and highest paid criminal cases, so this is a very positive position to be in” said criminal lawyer and partner Jo Griffiths.
