London Underground derailment

Eleven passengers were taken to hospital and thirty seven were injured following a rush hour train crash on the London Underground on Thursday 5th July.

The incident happened at around 8 a.m. on the Central Line (westbound) between Mile End and Bethnal Green Stations and the cause is thought to be an obstruction which was due to contractors leaving materials on the track

Three hundred and fifty passengers were trapped on the derailed train and another train following it and it took several hours to free them.
