Shropshire Lawyers hit the right note

Staff from Shropshire law firm Lanyon Bowdler will be leaving their law books behind and picking up their music books on 6th October, when they join the Shrewsbury Cantata Choir for a charity performance of Handel’s "Messiah" in aid of the Severn Hospice. The firm is also sponsoring the event, which takes place at St. Alkmund’s Church, Shrewsbury as part of the global Voices for Hospices day. Billed as "the World’s Largest Simultaneous Musical Event", it involves well over 100 concerts in the UK alone, and concerts in over 30 other countries.

Partner Brian Evans says "We have a number of keen singers at Lanyon Bowdler and Severn Hospice is one of the charities we support as a firm. When we heard about this concert we thought it would be a great opportunity to support such a worthy cause and have a good sing at the same time alongside such a good local choir. We are very pleased to be able to support the event financially."

The concert starts at 7.30 and tickets are available at the door, or by phone (01743 361353 or 01743 369992)
