Telford Tree of Light
We are proud to announce that this year the Telford Tree of Light committee raised in excess of £33,000, more than it has ever raised in its 13 years of existence. £16,552 of this was donated to the Severn Hospice who are one of our designated local charities.
Donors pay on average £5 per name to go under the remembrance tree over the Christmas period and this enables these donors to grieve in a positive way and at the same time to help worthwhile needy causes which support others who are in need.
John Morris-Roberts, Chairman of the Telford Tree of Light paid fulsome tribute to Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors for all of the invaluable help. This help included staff at our Wellington office sending out letters to potential donors and then dealing with the replies and passing them onto the Rotary staff during November and December.
Because the letters are sent out from and returned to a well-known solicitors the donors were more trusting of the integrity of the fundraising campaign.
