Brian is a partner of the firm, and Head of the Dispute Resolution Department. He read Law at Cambridge University, and gained First Class Honours in the Solicitors’ Final Examination.

Brian acts for a wide variety of clients, from individuals to large national companies.

His most notable success was negotiating a £1.5 million settlement in a shareholder dispute arising out of complex problems in a group of family companies, involving evidence going back to 1939.

He is a member of the Law Society’s Civil Litigation Section and is a CEDR Accredited Mediator.

Brian has experience of dealing with courts and tribunals at all levels, and acted successfully in opposing an application to the Court of Appeal relating to the exclusion of expert evidence (Windsor Life Assurance Co. Limited –v- Mulvaney [1999] EWCA Civ 1343).

Brian is recommended in the Legal 500 2010 edition, which comments "The 'thorough' Brian Evans acted in a shareholder dispute involving allegations of unfair prejudice, a threatened petition for just and equitable winding up, and an application for rectification of the register of members.  He is also noted for his understanding of the quirks within the agricultural industry."
