Dave joined Midland Bank Trust Company in 1969 where he took and passed the Institute of Bankers Trustee Diploma.  Following career path through the bank, via the auditing of branches nationally, he was appointed Trust Officer (Probate), and finally Senior Investment Manager (portfolio administration for private clients).

He joined Oswestry based Minshalls in 1991 to carry out estate administration, after the firm's amalgamated with LG Solicitors in 2001, he continued to work in Probate and Administration Trusts.

LG Solicitors merged with Lanyon Bowdler in May 2010.
