David graduated from the University of Durham in 1999 with a degree in Geography. He then lived in Canada for over 2 years before returning to the UK to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester. He joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2006 having spent a year at a large law firm in Birmingham.

David qualified into Lanyon Bowdler's Dipute Resolution Department in September 2008, having spent over 11 months in that area during his 2 year training contract. In his spare time, David enjoys running and regularly competes over distances up to the half-marathon. David has also captained the firm's football team which competes in the 5-a-side Powerleague next to Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
