Edward joined Lanyon Bowdler in February 2004 from Shakespeares solicitors, Birmingham and became a partner in May 2008.

Edward attained an MA(Hons) at Edinburgh University, and went on to train with Wannop & Fox in Chichester. He qualified as a solicitor in 2000.

Edward specialises in Wills, Tax Planning, Administration of Estates and Trusts. He also deals with the full range of Court of Protection work (including Enduring Powers of Attorney and Receivership Applications).

Edward heads up the private client department and comments " I enjoy what I do, I really like meeting different people and helping them understand what they need to do to secure their futures and those of their loved ones. I'm always here for a chat if someone wants advice, in fact our whole team are a friendly and approachable bunch."

Edward received a recommendation in the 2012 edition of the Legal 500, which comments "Practice head Edward Rees is 'considerate and knowledgeable'".
