Paula is the Head of Clinical Negligence in Shrewsbury. She is a member of the Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel and a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (who recognise her as an accredited senior litigator). She is an examiner for the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel. She became a Partner at Lanyon Bowdler in May 2008. She has had the privilege to sit on a number of APIL clinical negligence working parties. She has lectured to other professionals on the conduct of clinical negligence claims and in relation to community care matters.
Paula has specialised in the management of clinical negligence claims for over 20 years. She has conducted claims at all levels to include catastrophic brain damage cases and has experience of dealing with claims in a wide range of areas of medicine.
Paula has wide ranging trial experience to include the management of claims in the Coroners Court, County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal and in dealing with claims for persons under a disability.
With total dedication to client care Paula has regularly obtained large awards of compensation through negotiation, Court or mediation on behalf of victims of medical accidents.
The 2011 edition of The Legal 500 quotes Paula as heading the team at Lanyon Bowdler, acknowledging that the department is on the approved list for Headway and the Child Brain Injury Trust, and that it is handling over 200 active claims ranging in value from £30,000 to £7m.
Chambers UK a leading directory of UK solicitors 2012 edition makes reference to the "absolutely superb" Paula Nash who is widely praised for her "detailed knowledge of clinical negligence" and for the good outcomes she has achieved for clients.
Paula's wealth of knowledge and her excellent reputation was acknowledged in 2011 when she was a finalist for the prestigious National Partner of the Year Award by The Lawyer.
In 2012 Paula was shortlisted by Birmingham Law Society for a Partner of the Year Award in recognition of her abilities and valuable contribution in the field of clinical negligence.
In addition to her ongoing clinical negligence practice Paula has a keen interest in the field of community care and the rights of the disabled.
