Our presence in Oswestry comes as a result of the merger with LG Solicitors in May 2010.
LG Solicitors, previously known as Longueville Gittins, were a long-established legal practice with roots dating back to the 18th century.
Alan Gittins, Ian Glenister, Kevin Thomas and Emma Wilde are the partners based at this office and they continue to offer legal expertise in the areas of Commercial Property, Agriculture and Wills, Trusts & Administration of Estates.
The merger of the two firms resulted in considerable expansion in certain departments such as Family and Residential Property. Local businesses and private individuals in Oswestry, The Marches and surrounding areas now have easy access to a host of legal advice, including Employment, Personal Injury, Dispute Resolution, Clinical Negligence and Business Services.
Everyone at Lanyon Bowdler enjoys being part of the local community and many are active fundraisers; at this office we have some very interesting people!
David Foden - who joined the partnership in April 2013, heads up the Residential Property team is a member of Oswestry Rotary Club.
Caroline Yorke, a solicitor in the Family Department has been a call-out support member of SARDA Wales (Search & Rescue Dogs Association) since 2009, having joined the association as a 'dogsbody' in 2006. SARDA is a voluntary organisation (charitable) affiliated to the Mountain Rescue Council. Its purpose is to train Mountain Rescue Team members and civilians to become search dog handlers. Being a member of this association is no easy task and involves a huge commitment, Caroline attends residential training one weekend a month, takes part in two long weekends of assessments per year and generally travels to the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland each February for a week, in order to train on winter skills such as avalanche searches.
