Profile / Experience

Profile / Experience

Karen deals with the higher end of fast track work and also works on multi-track cases.

She is an Associate Legal Executive (FCILEX) in the Personal Injury Department.

After leaving college she completed a one year NVQ in Business Studies and then obtained full time employment in a solicitor’s office and has been working in a legal office ever since.

Karen has been working with Lanyon Bowdler since 1996 and, whilst initially working on claims with a value of up to £15,000, she has developed her skills and knowledge and now works on high-value cases including brain injuries and fatal claims. In addition Karen was responsible for negotiating a settlement of £250,000 for a client as a result of clinical negligence.

Karen is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer by the 2024 edition of The Legal 500, the directory states: ‘Karen Clarke is another name to note for her specialism in road accident claims and Animal Acts claims’.

Karen has a particular interest in Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims and recently was successful on appeal for an abuse victim and obtained a settlement of £13,000 after the initial application was refused. Karen also has a particular expertise in relation to dog bite claims.

Testimonials

What our clients say.

Karen has worked with dedication and efficiency throughout the last two years, giving advice and recommendations to enable this claim to be finalised very satisfactorily. Communication has been clear and precise throughout. Hopefully, I would not need to call on these services again but, if necessary, would not hesitate to use Lanyon Bowdler solicitors again.
