Planning Solicitor

Whether you are a private individual, professional or landowner, the specialist planning lawyers at Lanyon Bowdler can provide you with expert legal advice.

Legal Advice on Town & Country Planning

The head of planning at Lanyon Bowdler, David Brammer, is a legal associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute and an expert in his field. He is hugely experienced in town and country planning law, as well as related areas of environmental law and other aspects of development. In March 2017, The Planning Law Survey of the top law firms, private client solicitors and commercial solicitors ranked David as 25= in a national survey of solicitors who specialise in Planning Law.

We also call on the expertise of experienced planning consultants when appropriate who can offer practical legal advice on all aspects of UK planning regulations.

The type of planning matters we can help with include advising developers or landowners on the process of applying for planning permission, preparing legal agreements to support applications and offering guidance to those whose planning applications may have been refused or are subject to enforcement action. We can also provide legal assistance if you are opposing or objecting to a planning application that may adversely affect you or your business.

We also regularly act for individuals and businesses who are aggrieved by decisions concerning planning and related areas of law and wish to seek advice on whether there are sufficient grounds to enable them to make an application for judicial review of a planning decision. If you wish to exercise your right to ask the courts to reconsider the lawfulness of planning decisions it is important to work with lawyers and experts with relevant experience. Our head of planning has been involved in numerous court cases concerning the planning issues involved in high court challenges.

We deal with all kinds of proposal, big or small, so whatever you need legal advice on, please get in touch for a friendly chat about how we can help.
