Andrew has many years of experience in all aspects of non-contentious commercial and agricultural property work and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association. His main area of specialism is development work, regularly dealing with the sale and acquisition of development sites (including option and promotion agreements; conditional contracts; overage and planning agreements) and estate development. In recent years he has gained valuable experience in renewable energy projects.
Andrew is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in the 2022 edition of The Legal 500, in which it states that 'Andrew Evans acts for a number of local developers as well as landowners in deals involving developers.' It also describes 'the ‘always available’ Andrew Evans' as 'the key contact for development matters.'
The 2022 edition of Chambers UK ranks Andrew in Band 2 and states he is adept at advising clients on property development matters, agricultural transactions and option agreements.
Andrew has been recognised in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions of The Best Lawyers Guide, which is one of the oldest and most widely regarded publications referenced by clients and all those in the legal profession. Getting into this publication is extremely difficult but all the more satisfying because the decision is made by other lawyers, who recognise the strengths of those they vote for.
