Andrew was born and bred in Shrewsbury and after qualifying as a solicitor in 1980 returned to Shrewsbury to join Lanyon Bowdler in 1989. He was appointed senior partner in May 2015.
Andrew has many years of experience in all aspects of non-contentious commercial and agricultural property work and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association. His main area of specialism is development work, regularly dealing with the sale and acquisition of development sites (including option and promotion agreements; conditional contracts; overage and clawback arrangements; and planning obligations) and estate development and sales.

The 2019 edition of Chambers UK ranks Andrew in Band 2 and states that he "is practical, pragmatic and gets things turned around. He does a thorough job for his clients." He regularly advises farmers and landowners on property transactions.
