Senior Partner - Commercial Property
Agriculture, Commercial & Agricultural Property
Andrew was born and bred in Shrewsbury and after qualifying as a solicitor in 1980 returned to Shrewsbury to join Lanyon Bowdler in 1989. He was appointed senior partner in May 2015.
Andrew has many years of experience in all aspects of non-contentious commercial and agricultural property work and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association. His main area of specialism is development work, regularly dealing with the sale and acquisition of development sites (including option and promotion agreements; conditional contracts; overage and clawback arrangements; and planning obligations) and estate development and sales.
Andrew is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in the 2020 edition of The Legal 500.
The 2020 edition of Chambers UK ranks Andrew in Band 2 and states that he advises on agricultural property transactions. He also has experience in development matters including promotion agreements. Sources say that "he has the experience in the sector and he's practical."
Andrew is recognised in the eighth edition of The Best Lawyers Guide, which is one of the oldest and most widely regarded publications referenced by clients and all those in the legal profession. Getting into this publication is extremely difficult but all the more satisfying because the decision is made by other lawyers, who recognise the strengths of those they vote for.
