Kelly graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2012 with a 2:1 in LLB Law (Hons) and thereafter completed her police station accreditation at Cardiff University in 2013.
She joined Lanyon Bowdler in 2019 whereby her role is predominantly advising those clients who have been arrested and detained in custody or being interviewed under caution in relation to criminal offences. Kelly also offers representation for those being interviewed by other prosecuting bodies such as the RSPCA and the Department of Work and Pensions.
Kelly has extensive experience representing clients ranging from minor motoring matters to complex frauds and rape. She takes a proactive approach to ensure that a client's legal rights are protected throughout the investigation process and can confidently advise on the strength of the evidence and where appropriate uses every endeavour to secure an out of court disposal.
Kelly also assists in preparing our clients' defence for Crown Court matters. She works in conjunction with instructed counsel instructing experts, if required, to carry out an independent analysis of the prosecution evidence and challenge their case.
