Neil is a partner and head of the personal injury department and senior solicitor in the clinical negligence department. He is on the Law Society's Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Panels and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He is also an APIL Accredited Clinical Negligence Specialist, and APIL Accredited Brain Injury Specialist. Neil is a member of Headway - the brain injury association Personal Injury Solicitors List.
He has specialised in representing Claimants in respect of personal injury and clinical negligence claims for many years. Neil joined the practice in 1987. He has acted for a large number of Claimants who have suffered serious multiple injuries including acquired brain injury, spinal injury and amputees, subjects in which he has a special interest.
He was named Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year (Claimant), in the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards 2009. "This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates the superb reputation Neil has within the industry", the Judges commented.

Neil was also shortlisted for Private Client Solicitor of the Year in the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards 2010.
Neil has acted for clients injured in France, Netherlands, USA, Croatia, Falklands, and India amongst others in addition to his UK practice, Neil is a member of the Pan-European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers.
He has much experience of assisting clients with accessing funds to pay for care and case management, therapy, special equipment, transport, bungalows and replace lost income. This is often carried out under the Personal Injury Rehabilitation Code.
Neil has conducted several cases, where compensation in excess of £5 million has been recovered. He has extensive experience of obtaining large awards of compensation through negotiation, Court or mediation. He has acted in many Fatal Accident cases including helping bereaved families with Coroner's Inquests. Neil also has a wide knowledge of experienced and specialist expert witnesses and barristers.

The personal injury team is recognised by the 2019 edition of The Legal 500, as a tier one firm in the West Midlands. Neil is recognised as a Leading Individual and the directory states he 'has excellent knowledge of personal injury, particularly brain injuries'.
