In 2010 Lisa trained as a Collaborative Lawyer; she is a member of Shropshire Collaborative Lawyers. This process, being a form of ADR, focuses on solution finding and supporting separating couples to enable them to achieve tailor-made solutions for their specific family situation.

Lisa works regularly with Wealth Managers and IFAs, Accountants and Tax Advisors, Forensic Accountants and Business Advisors, Surveyors and Land Agents, Actuaries and Pension Administrators and Barristers to achieve carefully structured, comprehensive, tax efficient outcomes.

Lisa has specialised in family law throughout her career. In 2000 she was first accredited as a specialist in family law under the Law Society’s accreditation scheme. In 2004 she was appointed an advanced member of the scheme. She continues to be an accredited scheme member and also a member of Resolution.

After gaining a 2:1 in Law from Newcastle University in 1993, Lisa studied for the LPC at the College of Law, York. She undertook her training contract in the West Midlands, qualifying as a solicitor in 1996.

Lisa joined Lanyon Bowdler in November 2001. She was appointed an associate in 2010 and promoted to senior associate in 2024, she is currently based at the Shrewsbury office. She has managed a team of family lawyers and support staff across several of the firm’s offices in Shropshire. Her specialist area of practice is advising in financial claims and private children law cases, from initial consultation and negotiating to final hearing, when necessary.

Lisa is recognised in the 2025 edition of the Legal 500. A testimonial from the directory states:
