Job Description

36.25 hours per week.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a legal support assistant to join our Clinical Negligence Department ideally based at our office in Hereford, although we will consider suitable applicants who would prefer to work from our Shrewsbury office.

As part of our progressive and forward thinking firm, you will assist lawyers by providing administrative support as well as some legal work on cases.

The role will include communicating with existing clients and new enquiries, taking initial claims information and working under supervision on various aspects of a file. You need to have excellent literacy and numeracy skills as you’ll be involved in all aspects of administration, including the preparation of files and documents, along with communicating with clients in relation to their claims.

The post holder is expected to use a high degree of self management and initiative, and to maintain a highly professional, efficient, confidential and friendly service ensuring a quality service to clients is always achieved. The role would suit someone who has experience of working in a busy and professional team orientated environment. Previous legal experience is preferable although not essential as full training will be given.

You must be confident in the use of Microsoft Word and IT systems, be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a busy environment along with good organisational and time management skills, plus you will need to possess a high attention to detail and accuracy.
