Opportunity at our Hereford and Conwy offices

Are you an organised clear communicator, interested in how legal disputes are resolved? We’re looking for two legal support assistants to join our Dispute Resolution Team, one to be based at our Hereford office, the other in Conwy. The type of work undertaken by our Dispute Resolution Team includes property disputes, partnership disputes, contract disputes and general litigation.

About the role

You’ll work closely with our lawyers, supporting them on live cases from the first client contact right through to resolution. It’s varied, hands-on work, and you’ll see how your contribution makes a real difference to clients, who are often dealing with stressful situations.

Day to day, you will:

  • be a first point of contact for new and existing clients, taking initial details from them
  • prepare files, documents and correspondence
  • keep clients updated on how their matters are progressing
  • work under supervision on parts of case files, taking on more as your confidence grows
  • support the lawyers with a wide range of administrative and legal tasks

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent written English and good numeracy; Welsh language skills would be useful for the Conwy role
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word and IT systems
  • Strong organisation and time management, with a sharp eye for detail
  • The ability to stay calm and prioritise in a busy environment
  • A friendly, professional manner
  • Previous legal or office experience is helpful but not essential
