Beth trained at Lanyon Bowdler and has stayed with the firm progressing her career. She is now a partner and head of the Clinical Negligence Team which is nationally ranked.
In 2022 Beth was awarded Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year at the prestigious PI Awards. She is also an accredited member of the Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel.
Beth is on the Executive Committee for the Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers (SCIL) whose aim is to influence practice, policy and justice.
Beth combines a uniqueness of professionalism with compassion and empathy. She specialises in high value, complex cases – mainly maternity claims. She acts for a high number of children who have suffered brain damage at or around the time or their birth. She is determined and passionate about obtaining life-changing results for her clients. She is praised for her wealth of experience in drafting multi-million pound Schedules of Loss and her knowledge of the figures.
She is the lead solicitor in The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) maternity scandal – the largest maternity scandal in NHS history. She worked closely with Donna Ockenden during her independent review. Beth leads a specialist sub team dealing solely with these cases.
Beth has made a significant number of media appearances in relation to the scandal and the Ockenden report, and she was the only solicitor to feature on Panorama – Maternity Scandal: Fighting for Truth.
She took part in multiple live TV interviews, to include: BBC, Sky, ITV and Channel 5. Beth was extensively quoted across both paper and digital media, including on the front page of The Sunday Times.
She has also worked closely with the NHSR and Hill Dickinson, to develop an innovative pilot to deal with the large number of SaTH maternity claims in an efficient manner to ensure timely justice for families.
Beth was on the panel in the Law Society Clinical Negligence Roundtable debate, which included a prestigious panel of leaders in the field discussing issues affected the wider legal community. She has also spoken at the Westminster Health Forum about the importance of listening to families and learning from mistakes to improve maternity services.

Beth is local to the area and is particularly passionate about the obstetric services in Shropshire and is keen to see positive changes being made for the benefit of the local community.
