Partner - Clinical/Medical Negligence Team
Clinical Negligence
Beth completed her training at Lanyon Bowdler, progressing to associate solicitor and is now one of Lanyon Bowdler’s youngest partners.
Beth is in the clinical negligence team and works on a variety of cases to include:
Beth has represented a number of parents who have suffered stillbirths or in cases of early neonatal deaths. Beth also regularly represents families at Inquests to include Inquests involving potential breaches of Human Rights.
Beth has also represented a number of clients with injuries to the male genitalia.
In May 2017, Beth appeared on both BBC News at Six and BBC News at Ten, having been interviewed by BBC Social Affairs Correspondent and journalist Michal Buchannan, concerning the cluster of baby deaths at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This followed the news that Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt instructed NHS England and NHS Improvement to review the effectiveness of 23 completed, historic investigations of baby deaths or avoidable harm associated with maternity care at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital.
Beth is local to the area and is particularly passionate about the obstetric services in Shropshire and is keen to see positive changes being made for the benefit of the local community.
Beth is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer by The Legal 500 in their 2021 directory, in which a client states in a testimonial: 'not surprised she has been appointed partner at a very young age – extremely intelligent, thorough, able – a star of the future.'
Mrs E Hughes said "Beth has been a professional, honest, caring solicitor from the start of my case. She made the process easy to understand and stress free. I appreciate all she has done for me."
