After attending the University of St Andrews, Gemma undertook a Law Conversion Course and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester. She has practised exclusively in family law since she qualified as a solicitor in 2012. Gemma specialises in:

  • Advising on all aspects of divorce and separation including civil partnership
  • Resolution of complex financial matters for divorcing or separating couples
  • Advocacy
  • Cohabitation, pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements
  • Cohabitation disputes

Her pragmatic, supportive and down to earth approach has resulted in the majority of her clients being referred by word of mouth.

Gemma joined Lanyon Bowdler solicitors in March 2020 having previously worked at a local Shropshire firm. She is based in the family department at the Shrewsbury office.

Gemma is the current President of Shropshire Law Society.
