Helen’s practice focuses particularly on financial matters arising from the breakdown of relationships, whether between married or separating couples, and often featuring complex property and business assets and inherited wealth.

Helen also advises clients on nuptial and cohabitation agreements, helping them plan for the future with clarity and confidence.

After completing her LLB law and criminology degree with honours at Keele University in 2005, Helen studied for the LPC at the College of Law, Chester. She undertook her training contract at a firm in Liverpool, qualifying as a solicitor in April 2010.

Helen joined Lanyon Bowdler in November 2025 bringing over 15 years’ experience in all aspects of family law having previously worked at several commercial firms across the North West. During this time, she has built a reputation for her pragmatic and client focused approach.

Helen was recognised as an Associate to Watch in the 2025 and 2026 editions of Chambers UK reflecting her commitment to delivering exceptional client service and results.

As a Resolution member and specialist in complex higher income/asset financial remedies and private children law, Helen is dedicated to helping clients achieve constructive, practical outcomes during what is often a difficult an emotional time.

Helen’s work equally encompasses complex children act applications to include those involving allegations of harm, parental alienation and those with an international element.

Helen frequently works alongside other professionals, such as accountants and financial advisors or psychologists and therapists, to ensure clients have a joined up and holistic approach to their family situation.

Away from the office, Helen enjoys exploring new places, spending time outdoors and generally chasing after her young son who keeps her on her toes.
