Profile/Experience

Hannah qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and joined Lanyon Bowdler in June 2021 as an associate solicitor. Hannah works in the private client department and is based in our Oswestry office.

Hannah studied law at Cardiff University and then went on to attend the College of Law, Chester, to study the Legal Practice Course where she achieved a distinction. She was also awarded the Cullimore Dutton Prize for obtaining the highest mark for private client (wills, trusts and estate planning) work whilst studying at the College of Law.

Hannah is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), following completion of the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates in 2015, achieving a distinction. Hannah was awarded the prize for being the top graduate for the STEP Diploma - England and Wales worldwide between July and December 2015. Hannah is a committee member of STEP Cheshire.

Her work broadly includes:

  • The preparation of wills. This ranges from relatively straightforward wills to more complex areas, including trusts and inheritance tax planning.
  • The preparation and advice relating to lasting powers of attorney for financial affairs and health and welfare.
  • All aspects of the administration of estates, including the administration of estates on intestacy, complex estates where inheritance tax is payable and where assets have been left in trust. Hannah can also assist where there is an agricultural or business element involved.
  • The creation of lifetime trusts, will trusts and trust administration generally.

When not at work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, baking and taking her dog out for long walks in the countryside.
