Jennifer joined Lanyon Bowdler in 2013 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in 2015. Jennifer is in a unique role in that she works in both the Employment and Commercial and Agricultural Property departments.
On the employment side, Jennifer has experience in advising both employees and employers on a wide range of employment matters including disciplinary and grievances issues, terms and conditions of employment, working time, holiday pay, redundancy, unfair dismissal and unlawful discrimination, including representation in employment tribunal proceedings. Jennifer’s property experience enables her to advise in relation to the provision of accommodation for employees in connection with their employment, whether under licences or tenancy agreements, including agricultural tenancies or, where applicable, avoiding the creation of agricultural tenancies.
On the property side, Jennifer has extensive experience advising landlords and tenants in relation to commercial leases and in advising purchasers, sellers and developers in relation to all aspects of sales and purchases, including in relation to agricultural land. Jennifer’s employment experience means that she is particularly well placed to advise clients where there is an employment element to a property-based transaction, such as when TUPE is engaged.
