Court of Protection
Following a BA in History, Lucy qualified as a solicitor in 2014.
Lucy specialises in Court of Protection work and mental capacity issues, in particular dealing with clients who have suffered brain injuries.
Lucys experience includes the management of professional deputyships including cases with high-value litigation claims, statutory wills, dealing with the authorisation of gifts, and both lay and professional applications to the Court of Protection with regard property and financial affairs as well as health and welfare.
Lucy has particular expertise in complex cases and heads a team within the established Court of Protection department at Lanyon Bowdler.
Lucy is a member of the Court of Protection Practitioners Association and the Professional Deputys Forum.
Outside of work, Lucy is a qualified swimming instructor.
Lucy also deals with our work experience programme at Lanyon Bowdler and runs our mock trial program in conjunction with other staff.
