Legal Assistant - Private Client Team
Private Client, Wills, Trust & Administration of Estates
Michelle graduated from the University of Glamorgan with a Law Degree in 2001. Since graduating Michelle has worked in various disciplines of law including personal injury, criminal law and finally private client work, her preferred area.
Michelle has been working as a lawyer in private client work for the last 15 years, gaining an abundance of knowledge in this area along the way. Including advising and preparing Wills, Trusts and Estate Administration (with a particular interest in, and a great depth of understanding of, intestate succession). Michelle also has experience in providing clients with bespoke lifetime and testamentary inheritance tax planning advice.
Michelle also has a great deal of experience with dealing with vulnerable clients, in particular the preparation of Court of Protection applications, including Statutory Wills and also advising clients on Lasting and Enduring Powers of Attorney, and dealing with contentious issues within this particular area.
Michelle is currently an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is working towards her final exams before becoming a graduate member.
When Michelle is not at work and studying she likes to spend time with her family, although her boys are now teenagers, and so these times are getting fewer! Michelle also has a keen interest in baking and decorating celebration cakes, and if she were not a lawyer, this would be her chosen career.
She also has an interest in handwriting analysis, but removed this from her CV when she was always asked to analyse an interviewer’s handwriting during a job interview!
