Profile / Experience
Emma is partner in the Private Client Team, she qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEX) in 2015, prior to which she had completed five years’ recognised training.
Emma joined Lanyon Bowdler in August 2021 she was made an associate in July 2023 and joined the partnership in 2024. Emma is based in our Conwy office.
Emma handles a varied caseload and her work broadly includes:-
- Inheritance Tax and Business Succession Planning advice;
- Preparation of Wills from straightforward to more complex including Trusts;
- Preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney;
- Estate Administration to include complex high net worth estates, often taxable or including agricultural and/or business assets and/or trusts.
Emma is a Recommended Lawyer in the 2026 edition of Legal 500 in the category for agriculture & estates in Wales. The directory states: ‘Emma Deering, who was recently promoted partner, has a focus on succession planning, wills and estate administration and is a key member of the team.’

When not at work, Emma enjoys spending time with her young family and keeping fit. Emma plays cricket for Llandudno Ladies softball cricket team.
