Profile / Experience
Julie joined the firm in August 1989 – when secretaries worked on typewriters!
Over the years she has worked in the conveyancing and company & commercial departments before finally settling in the Private Client Department in May 2004, dealing with administration of estates, grant of probate applications, registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
She is also a member of Lanyon Bowdler’s charity committee and helps keep the Telford office going with charity cake days.
Outside of work Julie loves spending time with her family, baking, walking and days out in the family campervan.
What our clients say.
The work was carried out quickly and efficiently. Julie was kind, respectful and nothing was too much trouble. She always got back to me quickly if I needed to speak to her. I would highly recommend.
Have dealt with Julie over many years and she has always been very efficient with advice and knowledge. Normally have been to the office to deal with legal matters but now not able to get there but Julie was very good with my request and dealt with it promptly. Could not ask for better service.
I approached Lanyon Bowdler for advice about getting my affairs in order. Julie was very kind, knowledgeable and supportive. My will has been prepared in a highly efficient, professional and timely manner.
Friendly, helpful, easy to use and kept me fully aware of the procedure.
Very efficient and professional, only took a few days to complete my new will.
Sorted out all the necessary arrangements and paperwork for granting probate for my late husband. I was shown kindness and empathy which made it all a little easier to cope with.
Lasting Power of Attorney – Very good would use again. Very helpful, friendly and I was made welcome.
I’m very happy with the service that Lanyon Bowdler have provided over the changing of my will. A very personal service and I was kept informed of all the paperwork that needed to be filled in. It was all done over the phone and paperwork through the post, as I don’t have the internet. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Although the complete process took around two years to finish due to probate and land registry issues, Lanyon Bowdler were helpful, patient and professional in all my dealing with them. They offered advice when required and responded quickly to any queries I had. I would definitely use them again for any legal work.
Julie handled our late Dad’s affairs with kindness and with respect. She had the human touch with what was a very difficult time for us as a family. She kept in touch and offered advice even when the probate part had been completed. Thank you.
Lasting Powers of Attorney – we have been clients with Lanyon Bowdler for decades and have always been happy with the service.
My Mother sadly passed away in June this year. It was a stressful time for my sister, myself and the whole family. There were many arrangements to make and sorting Mother’s financial affairs was a challenge. Julie Langford handled the last will and testament of my Mother. Julie was caring, understanding and professional throughout this time. She answered all our questions and explained the legal items in an easy to understand way. She guided us through the process with a sympathetic and caring attitude. She dealt with the inland revenue and paid an agreed final payment. She included a payment to Co-op Funeral Care. Then she made arrangements to reimburse us for the cost of the wake and sundry items. She also made the application to probate for us. I was pleasantly surprised when this was completed without any issues in a short time. She sent written confirmation of the important stages of the procedure. Julie always answered our emails promptly and was available each time we visited the Lanyon Bowdler office. I can thoroughly recommend this company and its approachable and friendly staff.
Power of Attorney – overall satisfaction.
Good initial meeting, written communication, documentary guidance and good advice on my will.
Thank you to Julie for all her help and support.
