Wills, Trust & Administration of Estates, Private Client

Kate graduated from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 2004 with a law degree before completing the Legal Practice Course in 2005 at the College of Law, Chester. She then joined LG Solicitors as a trainee solicitor and qualified as a solicitor in July 2007. LG Solicitors merged with Lanyon Bowdler in May 2010.

Kate has over 16 years' post qualification experience in relation to a variety of private client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and estate administration.

Kate is also a member of the Shropshire branch of Solicitors for the Elderly, an independent, national organisation of lawyers who provide specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers. In June 2023 Kate became a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly, she was delighted to have achieved ‘gold standard’ accreditation in an area of law which requires many soft skills in conjunction with a sound technical knowledge. Kate prides herself on being approachable and friendly and able to explain complex legal matters in simple terms to clients who may be particularly vulnerable due to age, medical conditions, because they are grieving or for other reasons.

When not at work, Kate enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with her young family.
