Jemma graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013 with a degree in Law with Australian Law, having been the recipient of a Linklaters’ scholarship which enabled her to spend her third year studying at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Jemma then completed the Teach First Leadership Programme.
Jemma joined Lanyon Bowdler in February 2020 as a legal secretary to the head of the Clinical Negligence Department and was quickly promoted to legal support assistant.
Jemma remained in the Clinical Negligence Team to undertake her first seat as a trainee solicitor. She continued to assist the head of the Clinical Negligence Department in a wide variety of high value, complex cases to include the progression of maternity claims arising from the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. Jemma’s second seat was in the Corporate & Commercial Team, she then went into the Commercial & Agricultural Property Team. Jemma qualified as a solicitor in September 2024 and joined the Corporate & Commercial Team.
In her spare time Jemma enjoys spending time with her family, baking and walking her dog.
